Seeking local children for Evita cast
BVT is seeking a small group of talented 4th through 6th graders to perform in the children's chorus of our upcoming production of Evita, which will play from July 23 – August 2 at the theater in Naples.
“We are looking for 5 or 6 children who sing well to perform along with our New York cast,” said Karin Bowersock, Bristol Valley Theater Artistic Director. Bowersock will direct the musical about the life of Argentina's most memorable first lady, Eva Peron, which will star BVT audience favorites, Lisa Hokans and Tommy Labanaris. “This children's chorus will sing the song Santa Evita, which expresses the love of the nation's children for their first lady.”
Children will be required to attend two musical rehearsals and the dress rehearsals during the period from July 12 – July 23. Performances are from July 23 – August 2, with both 8 p.m. performances and several 2 p.m matinees. All children may not be required to be at all performances.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase the talent of our own local children,”added Bowersock, “And for them to have the chance to see how professional actors and musicians work.”
Parents of interested children should contact Bowersock at the administrative office at 585 374 9032, Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., or email kbowersock@bvtnaples.org.
